I'm a big fan of Carcassonne, and after many years of hiatus, I started playing again and decided it was time to own my own copy of the game.
Recommended for Ages 8 & Up
With elegant game mechanics and various tile types that can be configured into numerous combinations, A benefit is that you shouldn't have to worry about tile backs not matching by purchasing this all in one box. Over the intervening years I've bought most of the expansions that came out (some good, some not so good), and while my gameplay with Carcassonne goes through cycles where it is active for a while, then on the shelf for a while, it's still one of my favorite games.
Bought for 16 year old son - great family game.
